Free Derry Tours offers a number of additional services. These include:
Catering: Free Derry Tours can organise breakfast, lunch and dinner at a number of venues in the Bogside area which guarantee good food, good value and great service. Groups of up to 75 can be catered for in one sitting-ideal for larger school and tour groups.
Tourist information/itinerary planning: Free Derry tours employs a number of past and present employees of the Derry tourist information centre, the only all Ireland TIC in existence. This gives us added expertise when organising itineraries on a local, regional and national basis and providing vital tourist information to all our visitors
Photo opportunities: As well as being able to photograph the numerous murals and monuments in the Bogside and wider Derry area, visitors can also organise photo opportunities with some former British army vehicles which have been restored to their original condition. (advance booking required)
Photo framing service: Free Derry Tours can organise an express photo framing service through ‘Framed to Perfection’, the only framing service operating in Free Derry. This allows visitors to preserve their treasured images and overseas delivery can also be arranged.
Genealogy assistance: We can offer assistance to those seeking their genealogy through our wide range of contacts in this area, including helping visitors to find the graves and former homesteads of their ancestors.
Entertainment: Free Derry Tours can also organise sessions with the cream of Derry’s traditional musicians. This is particularly useful for tour groups and many of Derry’s top pubs can be used for the occasion. Catering can also be organised on request.
Transport: We can also assist groups and individuals with transport across Ireland through our numerous contacts
Traditional Irish crafts: Free Derry tours employs a number of former prisoners who are experts in the production of traditional Irish crafts inc Celtic crosses, musical instruments and more. We can organise the manufacture and delivery of your item of choice.
