The city cemetery tour:
The city cemetery is just ten minutes from the Bogside. It contains the graves of numerous victims of the Troubles including many of those killed on Bloody Sunday, two of the 1981 hunger strikers and the Derry volunteers of the IRA who died during the conflict. It also contains the plots of local industrialists, a Dail T.D. and Derry’s most famous hymn writer. The personal biographies of these individuals helps to explain many aspects of the history of Derry.
